We ride mostly 1970s pedal-equipped two-stroke models, such as those manufactured by Puch, Motobécane, Peugeot, Tomos, Garelli, Sachs, Kriedler, etc. I think I'm having similar issues and am interesting in any solutions or results. The voltage regulator listed above can be left in the bike,or removed and used to trouble shoot other devices,bikes. 8.5 HP!!!
Any bolt-on expansion exhaust will be better than the stock fart straw and will get you a few MPH.
