Single Window has been developed as a standard framework to fulfil the requirement of “Ease of doing business” Initiative of central government to facilitate investor and increase investment in the state by providing a conducive business environment through transparency and time-bound clearances.

The approval process for 35 services from 10 State government departments has been made online, including online application submission, payment, tracking and processing of applications. Going forward, more services will be progressively added to the portal in next phase. The Portal provides updated information relating to latest rules, policy initiatives and reforms undertaken by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh to facilitate and handhold the investors.

All existing technological applications of the 10 departments have also been integrated with SWCS. Access to all these services is now available through a single sign-on user credentials.

To facilitate tracking and monitoring of applications, SWCS sends out SMS and e-mail notifications to the investors at critical stages of processing of applications. The investors can also monitor the real-time status of their submitted applications through a Dashboard on the portal.
